About this webinar:
Ultimately, cloud adoption isn’t a technology challenge, it’s a people challenge. Leading edge technology, propelled by large budgets, is not enough without buy-in and the right skills across all levels of your organisation. A ‘cloud centre of excellence’ – often an echo chamber of experts promoting and developing a cloud program – is insufficient for achieving your cloud strategy’s potential. Outcomes-focused skill learning and certifications are vital to fulfilling that strategy. Learning, improving, and doing should all be inextricable from the strategy.
Massive skills gaps, despite large technology investment, mean many organisations are failing to get ROI from the cloud. Many businesses’ cloud migration programmes are stuck or delayed, as strategies are frequently overcomplicated and overengineered. This creates attrition rather than attraction, leaving cloud literate individuals frustrated and wanting out. In the absence of basic cloud literacy or vernacular people cannot pick up what is being put down.
In this web seminar, in which we’ll share our dedicated research findings on the topic, we will discuss how organisations and their IT decision-makers are approaching cloud skill development, current experiences and opinions surrounding cloud literacy, and how cloud strategies are being informed or hindered by organisational buy-in. We also explore how ROI has been impacted by these issues and how cloud success is being measured. In the process, we hope to answer questions such as, “How can community-oriented approaches facilitate cloud innovation?” and “What makes a good holistic cloud strategy?”
