- Paying the Ransom won’t fix it – we’ll look at lessons learned from ransom remediation and prevention, which technology methods were attempted and where they were successful, as well as what to plan for.
- Organisational alignment – multiple teams are necessary for both prevention and remediation, we’ll discuss their alignment and what to consider for improvement, as well as how IT leaders are integrating their disaster plans.

Stuart Sumner is Editorial Director of The Channel Company's technology-focused titles: Computing and Delta. He oversees all content across print, web, tablet editions, rich media and events - including the IT Leaders' Dining Club and Computing Summits. During Stuart's tenure Computing has transformed from a print-reliant business to a bleeding edge multi-channel brand with an industry-leading events portfolio. Previously he spent 10 years as a programme manager in the IT industry, working for companies such as the BBC, COLT, Nortel Networks and Equant. As a journalist he has also worked for Time Out and IPC Media. He is a regular technology pundit and contributor to the BBC News Channel, as well as a published author.
Anne works with the commercial technology content team producing whitepapers, reports, webinars, multimedia digital experiences, videos, and articles on the latest industry trends. Formerly, Anne was a science writer for the American Institute of Physics.
Jason Buffington is a Vice President within the Product Strategy team at Veeam. He has been in the data protection industry for over 30 years, working on a variety of backup, replication/failover, and BC/DR solutions within data protection vendors and Microsoft. Prior to joining Veeam, Jason was the Principal Analyst at the Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG) covering the myriad data protection vendors and providers in the IT industry. Outside of IT, Jason is an active volunteer leader in Scouting BSA.
